New UAE Visa System for Pakistani Travelers: What You Need to Know

22 February, 2025 15:40

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced important changes to its visa process for Pakistani travelers, making it more streamlined and secure. These changes are set to impact all visa types and include an online application system, biometric checks, and updated documentation requirements. Here’s everything you need to know about the new visa process.

Mandatory Online Visa Application System

The UAE has introduced a mandatory online visa application system for all visa types. Pakistani travelers will now need to submit their visa applications via an online portal, a move designed to simplify and speed up the application process.

Visa Processing Fee and Payment Details

Along with the new application procedure, the UAE has implemented a processing fee of $69 per applicant. This amount is to be paid into a designated Al-Falah Bank account. In Pakistani Rupees, this fee stands at approximately 19,200 PKR.

Required Documentation for UAE Visa

Applicants must provide a set of essential documents when submitting their visa applications. These include:

  • A bank statement showing a minimum balance of $5,000 or its equivalent in local currency.
  • Proof of accommodation bookings.
  • A confirmed return ticket.
  • A valid passport with at least six months’ validity.

These documents will be necessary for visa approval, and applicants will be notified after submission to ensure all requirements are met.

Changes for Children’s Visa Applications

The new visa guidelines also apply to children. Here are the specific rules for children’s applications:

  • Children under the age of 5 are exempt from visiting the visa center.
  • Children between the ages of 6 and 15 will need to have their photograph taken at the visa center.
  • Applicants aged 15 and older must visit the visa center in person.

Biometric Verification for All Applicants

In an effort to enhance security, biometric verification will be a mandatory part of the visa application process. Applicants will need to visit the visa center for biometric checks, ensuring a higher level of security for both the applicant and UAE authorities.

Streamlined and Secure Process

The changes to the UAE visa system aim to streamline the application process while improving security through biometric verification. The new system is designed to be more efficient, helping applicants avoid delays and ensuring the safety and integrity of the visa issuance process.
