ECB announces free iftar boxes for Dubai games
The Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) has announced to distribute free iftar boxes among the fasting spectators during the ICC Champions Trophy matches played during holy month of Ramadan in Dubai.
The move behind the decision is to provide spectators an uninterrupted tournament experience during the holy month.
The distribution will take place just before Iftar time in all non-hospitality areas.
The holy month of Ramadan is set to commence this weekend, coinciding with the India vs New Zealand Group A match on March 2.
This would be the first game of the tournament that coincide with Ramadan.
By combining cricket with Ramadan traditions, fans were anticipating a unique and enriching experience that would promote unity and celebration.
