Pro-Khalistan activists hold car rally in California

The pro-Khalistan group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) organized a car rally in Fresno, California, where participants chanted slogans critical of India and protested against its policies toward Sikhs and farmers.
The demonstration aimed to raise awareness about the upcoming Khalistan referendum, scheduled to take place in Los Angeles on March 23, 2025, under former U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration. SFJ, which advocates for a separate Sikh state, has been actively promoting the referendum among the Sikh diaspora.
Participants at the rally expressed concerns over India’s treatment of Sikhs and its handling of agricultural policies, which have been a point of contention among farmers. The event is part of SFJ’s broader campaign to mobilize support for the secessionist movement.
Indian authorities have previously condemned SFJ’s activities, labeling them as separatist efforts. However, the group continues to push for international recognition of the Khalistan movement.
