Former Sri Lankan cricket team captain and legendary cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya has fasted with his Muslim friends.

Former Sri Lankan cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya fasted with his Muslim friends during the holy month of Ramadan and shared a picture of iftar on social media.

Jayasuriya, a Buddhist, said he breaks his fast with Muslim friends by observing a fast in Ramadan since his school days and has kept the tradition alive for years.

In the picture shared on X, Jayasuriya wrote, “Fasted with my Muslim friends today – this is a small tradition that I have followed from school to Ramadan.

A picture of iftar was also shared with him. Fans from all over the world praised this tolerant spirit of the cricket legend.
