Jayasuriya, a Buddhist, said he breaks his fast with Muslim friends by observing a fast in Ramadan since his school days and has kept the tradition alive for years.
In the picture shared on X, Jayasuriya wrote, “Fasted with my Muslim friends today – this is a small tradition that I have followed from school to Ramadan.
A picture of iftar was also shared with him. Fans from all over the world praised this tolerant spirit of the cricket legend.
