What is Google Pixel VIP Contacts? New Feature Lets Your Loved Ones Bypass DND Mode

Google has introduced a new feature for Pixel users called Pixel VIPs, designed to keep you connected with the people who matter most. Building on the existing favorite contacts option, Google Pixel VIP contacts makes it easier to prioritize communication with your closest friends and family.

With Pixel VIPs, your top contacts appear at the top of your list and can even bypass Do Not Disturb mode—ensuring you never miss a moment from them. When you tap on a VIP, you’ll see useful details like their real-time location, local weather, time zone, and the last time you connected.

Google also adds a personal touch to Google Pixel VIP contacts: you can leave custom notes on their contact page—like their pet’s name, upcoming travel plans, or reminders about your next meetup. Plus, based on your shared preferences, Google will suggest things to do together.

Originally rumored under the name “Besties”, the feature was spotted in development last summer. Now, it’s officially here, helping you keep your inner circle front and center.
