PPP Shigar Information Secretary Scales K2 Gondogoro La, Earns Local Honor

The Information Secretary of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) District Shigar and General Secretary of the Shigar Bar Association, Advocate Wazir Wajahat Shigri, has successfully completed the K2 Gondogoro La trek.

The local community congratulated the PPP Secretary on achieving this unique feat, which is considered a significant honor for the Shigar Valley—being accomplished for the first time by a local from the region.

While expressing his views, Wajahat stated that the trek was extremely challenging, but with determination, courage, and guidance from the people of Askole and nearby villages, he was able to achieve this tough goal.

As this was his first experience of completing such a peak trek, it has given him great motivation to further explore the mountainous regions in the future.

Earlier, Advocate Wajahat Ali has assured all possible cooperation on the formation of the Baraldo Youth Organization (BYO).

In this regard, heartfelt congratulations have been extended to President Muhammad Abbas and General Secretary Muhammad Habib for the establishment of the BYO and the successful organization of an awareness program by the courageous youth of the Shigar area.

On this occasion, Information Secretary PPP Shigar said in a statement that the establishment of the BYO is a welcome and timely initiative, which will play an important role in awakening the youth of the region in the fields of education, awareness, and rights.

Advocate Wajahat added that the organization’s first step under the leadership of President Muhammad Abbas and General Secretary Muhammad Habib is commendable.

He said that whenever the Beraldo Youth Organization needs us, we will be available at all times for full cooperation.

Moreover, our services will be with the organization in every possible way for the welfare of the youth, their training, and the creation of a dignified society.

Wajahat has called the BYO a positive step towards a brighter future for the region.

On the other hand, an important and historic meeting titled “Strategic Dialogue and Awareness Session” was held in Askole, organized by the BYO, in which a large number of youth, elders, and BYO members from across Baraldo participated.

The organizers, realizing the need for an organization at the grassroots level, established BYO.

The meeting outlined various educational, social, and welfare activities for the future, including initiatives such as raising voices to solve problems.
