Who is Major Dil Bahar Singh? Indian Army officer Arrested from Peshawar
PESHAWAR: Pakistani security agencies have apprehended Major Dil Bahar Singh, a serving officer in the Indian Army, from the outskirts of Peshawar in a significant operation.
Intelligence reports indicate that Major Singh was operating under the alias ‘Dawood Shah’ as an imam of a mosque and was involved in a network engaged in espionage and sabotage within Pakistan.
Sources revealed that Pakistani intelligence conducted close surveillance over several weeks before executing the arrest during Fajr prayers in a covert operation.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Major Singh’s mission involved collecting sensitive military and intelligence information and inciting communal hatred to create internal chaos and unrest in Pakistan.
Pakistan has previously apprehended several Indian agents, with Kulbhushan Jadhav’s arrest in Balochistan in March 2016 being the most notable case.
