Neve Campbell is set to reprise her role as Sidney Prescott in the highly anticipated Scream 7, and she has secured a substantial paycheck for her return.

According to Variety, the 52-year-old actress will earn nearly $7 million for reprising her iconic role, a figure that is $5 million higher than her longtime co-star Courteney Cox. Cox, 61, who has portrayed Gale Weathers in every Scream film since the 1996 original, will receive $2 million for her return, highlighting the centrality of Sidney Prescott to the franchise’s identity and box office appeal.

Campbell had previously skipped Scream VI in 2023 due to a reported salary dispute, making her return in the seventh film one of the most anticipated developments in horror this year. Bringing Sidney back reportedly required a $500,000 script adjustment. The overall production budget for Scream 7 stands at $45 million, up from $35 million for the sixth installment.
