Pakistan vows full support to US and Iran for peaceful resolution
Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to support the United States and Iran in reaching a peaceful solution to their conflict.
The statement came after Field Marshal Munir met the prime minister at the Prime Minister’s Office in Islamabad on Thursday. Both leaders reviewed Pakistan’s mediation efforts and expressed satisfaction over the de-escalation achieved so far. They also stressed the importance of maintaining peace and a ceasefire.
“The leadership appreciated the restraint demonstrated by all sides and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to facilitate and provide all-out support to both sides to arrive at a peacefully negotiated settlement,” the statement said.

The prime minister praised the commitment of all parties and wished them success in achieving peace. He also renewed his invitation to the visiting delegations and assured them of full support from Pakistan.
Pakistan is set to host delegations from the United States and Iran this weekend following a temporary ceasefire. Officials say Pakistan has played an important role in helping communication between both sides.
Lebanon Seeks Pakistan’s Support
Meanwhile, PM Shehbaz Sharif also spoke with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam about the rising violence in the region. He strongly condemned Israel’s attacks on Lebanon and expressed condolences for the loss of lives.
During the call, the prime minister highlighted Pakistan’s efforts to promote peace, including the Iran-US talks. The Lebanese leader thanked Pakistan and requested support to stop attacks on civilians.
Both leaders agreed to stay in close contact as the situation continues to develop.
