Knowledge and Morality Can Counter Aggressor, Iran’s Supreme Leader Says

TEHRAN: Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei has urged students to pursue knowledge, skills and strong moral values, saying education combined with conviction and ethics can serve as a powerful defence against an aggressor.

In a message addressed to students, Khamenei emphasised the importance of scientific and technical advancement and called on young people to contribute to Iran’s progress in these fields.

He said knowledge, when combined with faith and morality, could become both a strong shield and an effective weapon in confronting external threats.

According to Iranian media, Khamenei encouraged young people to focus on scientific and technological development and play an active role in advancing the country.

He stressed that education should be accompanied by ethical values and a sense of responsibility.

An Iranian media report said 286 students and 65 teachers were killed during what it described as the war imposed on Iran by the United States and Israel.

The figures were presented by Iranian media and have not been independently verified.
