Renowned writer Anwar Maqsood taking a dig at Pakistan cricket team said that the team lost to secure a loan from International Monitory Fund (IMF).

On Thursday, the USA secured a historic victory over Pakistan in the T20 World Cup, after a thrilling Super Over.

The defeat doesn’t go well with the fans as social media was filled with memes and interesting comments.

Among those, poet and satirist Anwar Maqsood jokes, with a straight face, that the team must have lost to ensure Pakistan gets loan from IMF.

Maqsood said Pakistan lost the match under duress to America out of necessity because “it has yet to get a loan from the IMF”.
