Punjab, Lahore weather update today; more rains & gusty winds predicted
LAHORE – Lahore and several parts of Punjab experienced scattered rainfall of varying intensities over the past 24 hours, with weather experts predicting the wet spell to continue intermittently on Thursday.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) attributes the ongoing weather activity to a westerly wave affecting upper and central regions of the country.
Weather Forecast for Thursday:
Intermittent rains, gusty winds, and isolated hailstorms are expected in Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Mangla, Attock, Sargodha, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Khushab, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Okara, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Jhang, and Toba Tek Singh. Meanwhile, Murree, Galiyat, and surrounding areas are likely to witness cloudy skies, rain, wind gusts, and snowfall.
Authorities have issued warnings about potential avalanches and landslides in Murree and Galiyat, urging tourists to exercise caution.
Temperature Outlook:
- Lahore: Minimum temperatures are expected to range between 13°C–15°C on Friday and 14°C–16°C on Saturday.
- Murree: The hill station remained Punjab’s coldest spot, with temperatures dropping to -1°C.

Humidity Levels:
Lahore recorded a minimum temperature of 13°C with 89% relative humidity in the morning, while Murree reported 82% humidity.
