Pakistan Heatwave in Ramadan, Rain Likely on Eid

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted hot weather during the last ten days of Ramadan 2025, with a chance of rain on Eid-ul-Fitr.

Heatwave Alert in Some Areas

According to PMD Deputy Director Irfan Virk, Islamabad’s temperature may rise to 30°C by the end of this week. South Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan are likely to face a heatwave, with temperatures expected to be 6 to 7 degrees above normal.

Chance of Rain on Eid

Meteorologists say rain-bearing westerly winds are likely to enter the country in the last days of March, which may lead to rainfall on Eid. This could provide relief from the heat in many areas.

City-wise Eid Forecast

• Islamabad & Rawalpindi – Light rain expected
• Lahore & Faisalabad – Hot and humid with some clouds
• Karachi & Hyderabad – Very hot, above normal temperatures
• Quetta & Peshawar – Cooler with chances of rain
