Rain expected in Karachi next week, says Met office
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has announced that Karachi is likely to receive rain starting Monday evening, which may continue for a day or two.
Earlier, the Met Office had also predicted rain, thunderstorms, and even hail in various parts of the country today, especially in upper Sindh and Balochistan. Rain is also expected in cities like Quetta, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir, with chances of heavy showers and hailstorms in some areas.
Lahore already experienced rainfall on Thursday night, which helped bring down the temperature. More rain is expected there later today.
Meanwhile, the Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a weather alert, warning of heavy rain, lightning, and strong winds until May 4. They also mentioned the risk of landslides in Murree and Galiyat, urging local officials to stay alert.
