Karachi Weather Today: Is Rain Likely Amid Rising Heat Levels?
Clouds are currently covering parts of Karachi, and light rain is expected in the city today, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). While the port city experiences this slight weather change, the rest of Pakistan will face hot and dry conditions, continuing the seasonal heat pattern.
Islamabad & Punjab Weather:
The capital, Islamabad, and its nearby regions are forecasted to be hot and dry throughout Thursday. Partly cloudy skies may appear during the day, but no significant rainfall is expected.
In Punjab, the weather will remain dry and hot in most areas. However, some districts might experience light to moderate rain accompanied by gusty winds and thundershowers. These areas include:
Mianwali
Bhakkar
Jhang
Faisalabad
Sargodha
Sahiwal
Pakpattan
Okara
Khanewal
Multan
Bahawalpur
Bahawalnagar
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP):
KP will also face hot and dry weather, but cities such as Peshawar, Abbottabad, Swat, Dir, Malakand, Shangla, Kohistan, Battagram, Mansehra, Kohat, and Kurram will experience strong, dusty winds during the day.
Sindh:
Most of Sindh will remain hot and dry, consistent with the national trend. However, Karachi offers a slight relief, as cloudy skies and light rain are expected in some parts, offering a break from the heat.
Balochistan:
Balochistan will also face hot conditions, but certain areas including Zhob, Musakhel, and Barkhan could receive light to moderate showers with gusty winds in the evening or nighttime.
Northern Areas – Kashmir & Gilgit-Baltistan:
Kashmir is forecasted to remain partly cloudy with gusty winds and scattered thundershowers.
Gilgit-Baltistan will also be partly cloudy, with chances of windy and possibly rainy weather later in the day.
