Pre-monsoon rains forecast across Pakistan from June 20 to 24
The Meteorological Department of Pakistan has issued a weather alert for pre-monsoon rains expected across several regions of the country between June 20 and June 24, 2025. The update was reported by national media on Thursday.
According to the forecast, intermittent rainfall is expected in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Murree, Galiyat, and Islamabad from June 20 to 23. The cities of Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Sargodha, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, and Sialkot are also likely to experience showers.
Extreme Heat Before Rainfall
Before the rain begins, June 19 and 20 are expected to be extremely hot in most plains of the country. The Met Office has advised people—especially children, women, and the elderly—to take special precautions.

Rain Forecast for Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
From June 20 to 23, pre-monsoon showers are expected in:

Chitral, Dir, Swat, and Malakand

Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi
These areas may also experience thunderstorms and gusty winds.
Storm Alerts for Sindh and Balochistan
From June 22 to 24, heavy rain and windstorms are predicted in:

Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, and Jacobabad (Sindh)

Zhob, Barkhan, Musakhel, Kalat and surrounding areas (Balochistan)
The Met Department warns of hailstorms, strong winds, and possible storm-related damage, including:

Collapse of weak structures or walls
