Heavy Rainfall Forecast Across Cities, Flood Alert Issued
The Meteorological Department has forecast continued heavy rainfall across several regions until July 25, raising concerns of potential flooding. In response, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued an alert to relevant agencies and the public due to heavy rainfall.
According to the Meteorological Department, areas including Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, and Balochistan are expected to experience severe rains, which could lead to flooding in low-lying areas.
Particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Kabul River, Swat, Panjkora, Kalpani Nala, and Barah Nala are at risk of flooding, prompting warnings for nearby communities to remain vigilant.
The NDMA has instructed all concerned departments to ensure that precautionary measures are in place. It has also appealed to the public to avoid unnecessary travel and to exercise caution during this period.
