PMD Forecast Thunderstorms, Rain in Several Regions Across Pakistan
The Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD) has issued a forecast predicting strong winds and thunderstorms accompanied by rain in various parts of Pakistan.
According to the department, areas expected to experience gusty winds and thunderstorms with rain include South Punjab, the Potohar region, northeastern Balochistan, Kashmir, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Meanwhile, the weather in other regions is likely to remain hot and intensely humid.
Karachi is expected to experience stronger-than-usual winds along with light drizzle and rain due to strong sea breezes. Rainfall is also anticipated in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
Several districts, including Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpur Khas, Thatta, Sajawal, and Badin, are forecasted to see thunderstorms accompanied by rain. Lahore has experienced rainfall that has brought relief by making the weather pleasant, with intermittent rain expected to continue.
In the past 24 hours, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper and central Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan witnessed strong winds and thunderstorms with rain, while other areas of the country remained hot and humid.
