Temperatures drop to 6°C, Karachi faces severe cold
Karachi is experiencing cold weather, with temperatures falling noticeably in different parts of the city.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reported that the minimum temperature at Jinnah Terminal last night dropped to 6°C. In areas like Gadap and Bahria Town’s Sports City, temperatures fell even lower than 6°C.
Overall, the city’s minimum temperature was recorded at 8.1°C. Other areas saw low temperatures as well: Gulistan-e-Jauhar and Shahrah-e-Faisal at 9°C, Mauripur at 10°C, and Bin Qasim at 10.5°C.
The PMD said the weather is expected to stay dry over the next 24 hours, with cold nights continuing. The minimum temperature will likely remain between 8°C and 10°C, while daytime highs may reach 24°C.
Humidity levels in Karachi are at 44 percent, with northeasterly winds blowing at 7 km/h, according to the meteorological department.
