According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air is affecting most parts of the country. Because of this system, cold weather conditions are likely to continue.
Weather Forecast
From Friday to Tuesday, cold and partly cloudy weather is predicted in Chitral, Dir, Kalam, Naran, Kaghan, Gilgit, Hunza, Skardu, Muzaffarabad, Neelum Valley, Murree and Galiyat.
In Ziarat and nearby areas, cold and dry weather is expected from Friday to Sunday. However, rain, wind and thunderstorms with snowfall are likely on Monday and Tuesday.
Temperature in Murree
In Murree, the minimum temperature is expected to stay between -1°C and 1°C on Friday. On Saturday, it will likely remain between 0°C and 2°C.
Past 24 Hours
During the last 24 hours, freezing weather was recorded in Murree, Galiyat and other tourist areas.
Astore was the coldest place, where the temperature dropped 5°C below freezing. In Kalam, the minimum temperature was -3°C. Nathia Gali, Hunza, Gupis and Rawalakot recorded -2°C. Malam Jabba recorded -1°C, while Murree recorded 0°C.
