APHC calls for complete strike on Burhan Wani martyrdom anniversary.

In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference made this appeal, while paying glowing tributes to the prominent Kashmiri youth leader, Burhan Muzaffar Wani.

They made this appeal ahead of his fourth martyrdom anniversary has called for a complete strike on Wednesday.

APHC Spokesman in a statement in Srinagar, today (Monday), elaborated the objective of the strike.

He said they want to convey a message to the world community particularly the United Nations that the people of Jammu and Kashmir completely reject the forcible occupation of their motherland by India.

The spokesman pointed out Kashmiris would observe the 8th of July as Youm–e-Istiqlal [Freedom Day].

They would reiterate resolve that they would continue their struggle for right to self-determination, through thick and thin.

Other Hurriyat leaders including Shabbir Ahmad Dar, Muhammad Iqbal Mir and Aijaz Rehmani in their separate statements while remembering Burhan Wani and other martyrs of July 2016 said that they were the heroes of the Kashmiri people who sacrificed their lives for pursuing the political right of the Kashmiri people.

Earlier, Syed Ali Gilani lauded the services of martyred popular youth leader, Burhan Wani, in the ongoing freedom struggle.

He said that he would continue to be remembered as a great soldier in the caravan of martyrs of the territory.
