Two patients die in ICU as Israeli forces besiege Gaza hospital

19 October, 2024 20:23

Two patients in the intensive care unit of the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza have died after Israeli forces destroyed its generator, according to Al Jazeera reporters.

At least 37 people have been killed since dawn across Gaza in Israeli air strikes and artillery shelling.

Around 400,000 people are trapped inside Jabalia, where occupation forces have relentlessly bombarded various areas on the pretext of targeting Hamas.

In another incident reported today, the Israeli army bombed a group of Palestinians attempting to rescue an injured child, who was shot by occupation forces in northern Gaza.

A widely circulated video on social media showed the child crying for help after being shot and left wounded in the middle of a street.

Earlier, a drone launched from Lebanon has struck Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s residence in Caesarea, Al-Arabiya reported Saturday.

According to the publication, Netanyahu’s office confirmed that Caesarea drone targeted his home and he was not present.

The Israeli military confirmed that the drone hit a building in Caesarea, but didn’t confirm that it was the PM’s place.

“During the past hour, three UAVs were identified crossing from Lebanon into Israeli territory,” the IDF said in a statement.

“One additional UAV hit a structure in the area of Caesarea. No injuries were reported. During the incident, sirens were activated in the Glilot military base. The presence of additional hostile aircraft in the area has been ruled out.”
