Khamenei hails nation for achieving definite victory in struggle against US

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has hailed the nation for achieving definite victory in its struggle against the US.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Ayatollah Khamenei said: βSome sow doubts about whether itβs possible to confront a modern, advanced, dominating, powerful system like the US govt. Yes, the Iranian people have fought it and have certainly succeeded so far. Today, the Iranian nation has been able to push back and weaken this great enemy, the US.β
Ayatollah Khamenei’s statement came on the anniversary of Iranian studentsβ takeover of the US embassy in Tehran on November 4, 1979 that is known as the National Day of the Fight against Global Arrogance.
The Supreme Leader also addressed an occasion held to mark the event and referred to the former US diplomatic mission as not merely a site for diplomatic and intelligence activity, but rather the headquarters of plotting to destroy the Islamic Revolution.
