Trump signs order to block federal support for minors’ gender transitions
Donald Trump has moved quickly to fulfill his campaign promises regarding transgender and gender reassignment issues.
According to the foreign news agency, Trump has signed an executive order on hormone therapy for boys and girls under the age of 19 to undergo sex reassignment surgery or prevent puberty.
President Donald Trump has signed an executive order ending federal aid and assistance to minors for this medical procedure, according to a statement from the White House administration.
According to the bill, the government will not fund, sponsor, promote, assist or support the so-called ‘transition’ of a minor child from one sex to another and will strictly enforce all laws that prohibit it.
The order directs the Secretary of Health and Human Services to take all appropriate steps to eliminate the use of gender-affirming care for minors.
The order also directs the US Department of Health to withdraw its guidance on gender-affirming care and patient privacy.
It should be remembered that earlier Donald Trump had issued an order to remove transgender soldiers from the US Army.
Currently, there are about 15,000 transgenders serving in the US military.
