US imposes new sanctions targeting Iran oil exports

US President Donald Trump has imposed more sanctions on Iran.
According to Arab media, these are the first sanctions against Iran since the return of the US president to the White House, in which the US Treasury Department has targeted Iran’s oil network.

Arab media said Iran has imposed sanctions on individuals, ships and firms linked to companies already under sanctions.

The US Treasury Secretary has accused Iran of investing oil revenues on nuclear programs, ballistic missiles and drones, Iran is also using its oil revenues to help terrorist groups, so will take more stringent measures to stop funding illegal activities.

Media reports said that Iran has rejected the US sanctions as piracy.

Earlier, US President Trump has also decided to impose sanctions on the International Criminal Court.

The US president will sign an executive order on sanctions at the International Criminal Court today, the White House said.

The White House said the president is imposing sanctions on the ICC for taking action against the United States and other allies, including Israel.

According to the reports, the US president’s decision will impose financial and visa restrictions on the staff involved in the ICC investigation against American citizens and their allies and their families.
