US firms on plan to rebuild Gaza without Hamas: White House

The White House has made it clear that US President Joe Biden stands by his stance of not involving Hamas to rebuild Gaza.

On the other hand, any plan to expel Palestinians from Gaza was rejected in an extraordinary meeting of Arab countries.

The meeting was attended by representatives of several Arab countries, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Syria, while the head of the United Nations, the President of the European Union and the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation were also present.

Egypt has unveiled a $53 billion new plan to rebuild Gaza, which will last for five years. The plan includes the construction of millions of homes, the establishment of a commercial port and airport, elections in the Palestinian territories and efforts for a two-state solution.

Human rights groups have filed a petition in the Israeli Supreme Court against the suspension of aid to Gaza, demanding that the Palestinian people should not be deprived of basic necessities.

Addressing the meeting, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas demanded that the entire management of Gaza be handed over to the Palestinian Authority, so that the welfare of the Palestinian people
