No one driving Palestinians out of Gaza: Trump
US President Donald Trump has said that no one is expelling Palestinians from Gaza.
According to Israeli media reports, US President Donald Trump told the media during a meeting with Irish Prime Minister Michael Martin that no one is evacuating any Palestinians from Gaza. Trump sarcastically called Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer a Palestinian.
President Trump said that Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer was a Jew before, but now he has become a full Palestinian.
Earlier in a statement, Trump talked about the plan to take Gaza under US ownership, expel Palestinians and transform Gaza into a modern and modern settlement. The proposed project was rejected by the international community.
Egypt, Jordan and the Gulf countries had expressed concern over any such project, saying that any such project would destabilize the entire region. In response to the plan, Arab states ratified a $53 billion Egyptian plan to rebuild Gaza to prevent Palestinians from being evicted from the region.
