When is Eid-ul-Fitr – March 31 or April 1?

Egyptian and Emirati astronomers have made predictions about the date of Eid al-Fitr.
Egypt’s National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research has predicted that Ramazan will be 29 days in Egypt this year and the last fast will be on Saturday, March 29, while the first Shawwal or Eid al-Fitr will be on Sunday, March 30.
Egypt’s National Astronomical Agency has also named about 30 cities in the world besides Egypt, where the Shawwal moon is expected to be seen on March 29, these cities include Makkah, Medina, Riyadh, Ankara, Tehran, Muscat, Karachi, London, Moscow and Ottawa.
On the other hand, according to Ibrahim Al Jarwan, chairman of the Emirates Astronomy Society, the first day of Shawwal in astronomical terms i.e. Eid can be on Sunday, March 30 or Monday, March 31, 2025.
He predicted the Shawwal moon will be born on March 29, 2025 at 2:58 pm local time and the moon will be only 3 hours old until sunset and it will be difficult to see the moon due to the position of the moon and the presence of sunlight.
