US lifts $10m reward for information on Sirajuddin Haqqani: Taliban

Afghanistan’s interior ministry has claimed that the United States has lifted $10 million in reward money for the arrest of Afghan Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani.
The Taliban’s claim comes as a US delegation visited Kabul in the past.
US Special Envoys for Abducted Adam Boehler and Zalmay Khalilzad met key leaders during an important meeting between the Taliban and the US delegation in Kabul, after which the group released George Gleizmann.
Now, a spokesman for the Afghan interior ministry claimed that the United States has lifted $10 million in reward money for the arrest of Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani. However, the US State Department did not respond to this.
On the other hand, the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) website still has an advertisement of $10 million prize money for the arrest of Sirajuddin Haqqani.
Meanwhile, Afghan media has also claimed that the United States has abolished the prize money not only on Sirajuddin Haqqani but also on other leaders of the Haqqani network, Abdul Aziz Haqqani and Yahya Haqqani.
Haqqani is on the terrorist blacklist issued by the United Nations and the US State Department first announced a reward of $5 million and later $10 million for information about him.
