Iran ready for talks with US but on equal terms
Iran US talks
Tehran: Iranian President Masoud Pazishkian has reacted to United States (US) counterpart Donald Trump’s offer of talks, saying that the US president’s frivolous attitude contradicts the statement of negotiations and Iran is ready to negotiate with the US on an equal footing.
US President Donald Trump announced in a statement some time ago that he would hold talks with Iran on the nuclear issue.
The president stated that on the one hand, the USA demands negotiation, while on the other hand, America should stop making threats in case negotiations are required.
In this regard, Pazishkian further said that America is being disgraced around the world due to its bad policies.
Earlier, Trump has unveiled the design of a new ‘Golden Card’ that would allow wealthy foreigners to obtain a special visa leading to US citizenship for $5 million.
The announcement was made during a press conference on Air Force One, where Trump showed off a card with his picture on it and jokingly asked reporters, “Does anyone want to buy it?”
The card resembles a credit card in shape and features Trump’s face in its design. The image has been described by the media as inspired by the famous photo of him being arrested in Atlanta during the last election campaign.
The move comes after Trump reintroduced the idea of an investor visa. It has been described as similar to the existing “EB-5” program.
The program allows foreigners to take up residence in exchange for investments starting at $800,000.
However, the new card significantly expands the investment limit and, according to Trump, offers “more incentives.”
