US revokes visas for South Sudanese over deportation dispute

US Secretary of State Mark Rubio has announced the cancellation of American visas for all passport holders from South Sudan.

Marco Rubio has warned that if the Trump administration wants to expel any foreign nationals, the relevant country should make it possible for their citizens to return home on time.

He said that the interim government of South Sudan has failed to respect this rule, so the State Department is canceling the US visas of all passport holders from South Sudan.

He further said new visas would no longer be issued to prevent South Sudanese from coming to the United States.

Rubio said that the interim government of South Sudan should stop getting interests from the United States, adding if South Sudan fully cooperates, we will review the new policy.
