How to download your Emirates ID as PDF on your mobile phone

All UAE citizens and residents are legally required to have an Emirates ID with them at all times. This includes people from countries like Pakistan and India living in the UAE.

Well, now there are some great news – you don’t always have to physically carry the ID card anymore. The UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) has made our lives easier by having a digital version of the Emirates ID.

Now you can download your Emirates ID to your mobile phone and present it when it is needed — whether to establish your identity, or to use banking and other services in the country.

How to Download Your Digital Emirates ID

You’ll need to use the UAEICP app, which is available for both Android and iPhone. Here’s what to do:

1. Download the “UAEICP” app from the Google Play Store or Apple Store.
2. Register on the app if you’re a new user by entering your personal details.
3. Log in and tap the “Emirates ID” option on the main screen.
4. Your digital Emirates ID will appear on the screen.
5. You can download it as a PDF file for easy access.
6. If needed, you can also generate a QR code by clicking “View QR Code.”
