I won’t say Israel has canceled attack on Iran: Trump

18 April, 2025 09:07

US President Donald Trump has reacted to an American newspaper report canceling the Israeli attack on Iran.

The New York Times reported that US President Donald Trump canceled plans for an Israeli attack on Iranian nuclear facilities.

The report said that Trump stopped Israel’s proposed attack by taking the path of negotiations to limit Iran’s nuclear program.

However, President Donald Trump has responded to the US newspaper’s report, saying that he will not say that Israel has canceled the attack on Iran.

“I’m not in a hurry to take military action on Iran’s nuclear facilities, because I think Iran has the opportunity to become a great country,” Trump said.

“My first option is dialogue, if the second option is adopted, it will be very bad for Iran and I think Iran wants to talk,” he said.

Plan to attack Iran
Israel planned an attack on Iran’s nuclear sites in May, aiming to push back Iran’s nuclear weapons capability by a year or more.

Israel’s defence was not enough for the success of this attack, but the support of the United States was also necessary so that the Iranian retaliation could be dealt with and the attack could be made successful.
