After Article 370’s abrogation, occupied Kashmir is out of Modi’s control

Occupied Kashmir has gone out of the control of war-mongering Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the abrogation of Article 370 has also proved to be a failed step of the Modi government.
Since the abrogation of Article 370, the situation in occupied Kashmir is unstable and worrisome and the control of the occupied valley has gone out of the hands of the Modi government, which is proving the claims of peace to be baseless.
All of Modi’s unilateral policies, including the abrogation of Article 370, have turned public anger into rebellion.
It may be recalled that Amit Shah had described the abrogation of Article 370 as a historic step in parliament and claimed that the removal of Article 370 will end terrorism in Kashmir.
Circumstances have proved that these claims of Amit Shah are far from reality and the occupied valley is still burning.
The Modi government abolished Article 370 ignoring the Kashmiri people and leadership. Mehbooba Mufti, Omar Abdullah and other leaders were placed under house arrest, in response to which protests and agitations intensified.
Parties like the Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party came out against Modi’s policies. Apart from this, resistance against the Modi government is increasing in Kashmir and the voices of freedom are increasing.
With the actions of the Modi government, Kashmir has become an open prison. Human rights violations by imposing curfews have become common. Even Human Rights Watch documented rights violations in occupied Kashmir after 2019.
According to Human Rights Watch, more than 200 civilians were killed in “fake encounters” by security forces in 2020 and 2021. Thousands of Kashmiris, including political leaders, activists and students, were arrested without charge or trial.
According to the human rights organization, the seven-month-long internet shutdown from August 2019 to February 2020 has paralyzed life and restrictions are still in place. Incidents of violence and rape during military operations have increased, while there are restrictions on the media.
The ongoing resistance against Modi’s repression in occupied Kashmir is a reflection of the resolve of the Kashmiri people for freedom.
