Abrogation of Article 370 left millions without basic necessities in held Kashmir
After abrogation of Article 370 by the Modi government, millions of people deprived of basic necessities of life due to communication blackout in occupied valley.
Since 2019, the economy has suffered a huge loss of 400 billion due to restrictions on the supply of agricultural products, says Kashmir Chamber of Commerce.
Tourism sector suffered loss of over 100 crores due to Indian policies while trade closures reduce income of Kashmiri traders by 60 per cent.
It said that restrictions on farm products push farmers into severe financial crisis.
According to the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce, the closure of educational institutions puts the future of millions of young people at risk.
Modi government’s controversial policies have pushed up the unemployment rate by 20 per cent since 2019.
The continued presence of the Indian Army is a major obstacle to economic development in occupied Kashmir, it further said.
India’s seizure and surveillance of resources has left the occupied valley in severe economic instability.
The Kashmiri people are continuing their struggle despite all odds and these difficulties cannot shake their resolve for freedom.
