‘Frustration’: 2 Indian army units fire at each other killing five Sikh soldiers

Two Indian army units opened fire on each other, killing five Sikh soldiers, sources said.


On the intervening night of April 25 and 26, two units of the Indian army opened fire on each other along the Line of Control in occupied Kashmir. As a result, five Sikh soldiers killed in the firing.

The incident took place during patrolling in Japala Bridge in Baramulla sector.

The 185 BSF, which is stationed in Baramulla, opened fire on the 13 Sikh Light Infantry Regiment of the 12 Brigade.

This incident is a reflection of the frustration in the Indian army, said defence experts.

There is a lot of anger among the Sikh soldiers of 13 Sikh Light Infantry over this incident.

This is not the first incident of its kind as such incidents have happened in the past too, the experts said.

The defence experts said that Pakistan Army fully prepared to defend its borders.

They added any kind of aggression from India should be given a befitting reply.
