It said the suspension of treaty could escalate water tensions between India and Pakistan.
According to the publication, India’s recent actions are expected to increase tensions over water security.
It further said that Delhi’s actions threaten long-term stability of Indus Waters Treaty, adding temporary suspension of agreement could have negative effects on both countries.
India and Pakistan should reconsider unilateral actions as environmental risks are increasing. India’s stance could lead to further instability in the region.
