Russia exposes Indian media propaganda following Modi-Putin talk

06 May, 2025 13:10

Indian media reports claiming that Russian President Vladimir Putin fully supported India against Pakistan during a recent phone call with Prime Minister Narendra Modi have been proven false.

The Kremlin’s official statement clearly did not mention any support against Pakistan, exposing what experts are calling another example of Indian propaganda.

According to Indian media, President Putin had expressed strong backing for India and criticized Pakistan after the Pahalgam incident in Indian-occupied Kashmir. But the Kremlin’s official press release did not mention Pakistan at all. It only described the incident as a “barbaric act of terrorism” and called for justice. No country was blamed.

Despite this, Indian outlets reported that Russia had taken an anti-Pakistan position. They also claimed that Russia stood firmly with India, which misled many viewers and readers. Experts believe this is part of a larger plan by the Modi government to gain political advantage and create pressure on Pakistan internationally.

Political analysts say India’s actions show a pattern of spreading false narratives to isolate Pakistan on the global stage. However, Russia’s neutral stance has once again challenged this strategy.

Meanwhile, Pakistan has strongly denied all allegations made by India. The country has also demanded a fair and transparent investigation into the Pahalgam attack.

This development highlights the importance of fact-checking and the dangers of misinformation, especially when it involves international relations and terrorism.
