Emirates ID card fee update for Pakistanis citizens in UAE

All UAE citizens and residents, including Pakistani nationals, must have a valid Emirates ID to avoid fines and legal issues. This ID is essential and may be checked anytime by police or government authorities.

Without a valid Emirates ID, people may face problems in:

  • Accessing government services

  • Getting healthcare

  • Using banking services

Renewing Your Emirates ID

You must renew your Emirates ID within 30 days after it expires. If you miss this deadline, you’ll have to pay a fine.

How to Renew Emirates ID

You can apply for renewal through:

  • The ICP website

  • The ICP mobile app (available on Google Play and App Store)

  • An authorized typing center

Note: If you’re a residence visa holder, you can only renew your Emirates ID after your visa has been renewed or reissued.

Documents Needed for Renewal

  • Valid passport

  • Valid or under-renewal residence permit

  • White background photo (for all age groups)

  • For children under 15: original birth certificate and parent’s passport or Emirates ID

Emirates ID Renewal Fees (May 2025)

The fee depends on how long the new ID is valid for:

  • 1 year: AED 170

  • 2 years: AED 340

  • 3 years: AED 510
