PUIC adopts resolutions condemning Indian atrocities in Kashmir

At the 19th session of the Parliamentary Union of Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held in the Indonesian capital Jakarta, three unanimous resolutions were adopted, strongly condemning the ongoing atrocities in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

The 19th PUIC meeting held in Jakarta ensured a significant diplomatic success by fully appreciating Pakistan’s unwavering commitment on the Kashmir issue.

The adoption of three strong and unanimous resolutions against the ongoing grave human rights violations in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir has sent a clear message to the world that the Muslim Ummah stands with the oppressed Kashmiri people.

This international consensus is the result of Pakistan’s effective diplomacy and tireless efforts, which has once again highlighted the Kashmir issue on the global stage.

This categorical stance of the PUIC exposes the atrocities faced by the Kashmiri people under Indian occupation and recognizes their inalienable right to self-determination.

More importantly, Article 10 of the Jakarta Declaration, which is the common voice of the Muslim Ummah, emphasized ensuring the resolution of the Kashmir issue in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.

This declaration is a clear endorsement of Pakistan’s principled position, which rejects India’s unilateral and illegal actions.
