Former Indian Foreign Minister Yashwant Sinha Raises Questions on Operation Sindoor Failure

Former Indian Foreign Minister Yashwant Sinha has made explosive claims regarding the failure of Operation Sindoor, accusing the Modi government of orchestrating a campaign of misinformation and political opportunism.

In a strongly worded statement, Sinha said the ruling BJP is using “Godi media” — a term for media outlets seen as pliant and biased — to cover up what he described as a disastrous and humiliating outcome for India.

Sinha alleged that the actual number of aircraft destroyed in the operation is being deliberately hidden from the public, and accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of manipulating the situation for political mileage, particularly ahead of the upcoming Bihar elections. “Modi ignored the all-party meeting and instead chose to give political statements in Bihar,” he stated, implying a disregard for democratic transparency.

The former minister didn’t stop at criticizing Modi alone. He demanded the resignation of key figures including Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, citing what he called gross diplomatic and intelligence failures.

“In today’s India, anyone who questions the failure of Operation Sindoor is branded a traitor,” Yashwant Sinha warned, condemning what he views as a culture of suppression and intolerance toward dissent. “Instead of informing the public of the facts, the Modi administration remains completely silent.”

Sinha’s accusations echo sentiments among defense experts who believe that the Modi government previously used the Pulwama incident as a false flag operation to further its own political agenda.

These experts assert that the failures surrounding Operation Sindoor, coupled with the silence and propaganda from the government, indicate a broader pattern of misinformation.

“The statements of the former foreign minister make it clear that Modi has suffered a humiliating defeat,” one defense analyst stated.
