Indian Experts Begin Admitting Defeat Following Aggression Against Pakistan

25 May, 2025 14:47

Indian media and defense analysts have intensified criticism of India’s recent unjustified aggression against Pakistan, highlighting significant failures of the Indian military.

Prominent Indian defense analyst Pravin Sawhney, speaking on a TV program with anchor Arfa Khanum Sherazi, condemned India’s military actions, stating, β€œWe have not gained anything by attacking Pakistan.” He further emphasized that the attack damaged India’s international reputation.

Sawhney pointed out that the world closely observed India’s military performance during the crisis and questioned the effectiveness of its response. He criticized the use of the Air Force in the 2019 Balakot strike, describing it as misguided, with the military reportedly unsure of its own actions at the time.

Regarding the recent air strikes, Sawhney noted that Pakistan was fully prepared and accused India of failing to target military installations. β€œMilitary targets should have been attacked, but they were not. Terrorist camps are not military targets,” he remarked.

Citing evidence presented by Pakistan’s Air Marshal Aurangzeb on May 7, Sawhney said five Indian aircraft were reportedly shot down. When questioned, the Indian Air Marshal reportedly accepted losses as an inherent part of war.

Sawhney stressed that without full disclosure from India, international opinion would favor Pakistan’s claims. He recalled statements by Pakistan’s DG ISPR promising retaliation, and noted reports that Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval contacted US Secretary of State Marco Rubio shortly after the incidents.

He added that countries including Saudi Arabia, Japan, China, and Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar engaged diplomatically with India during the crisis.

Concluding his remarks, Sawhney criticized India’s decision to initiate conflict when it was not fully prepared, calling it a strategic error.

Defense analysts interpret Sawhney’s candid critique as an acknowledgment of India’s defeat and highlight India’s weak war strategy. They also note that India reportedly approached the United States seeking a ceasefire, further underscoring its inability to sustain prolonged conflict.
