Government Announces Public Holiday on June 7; Schools, Banks, Offices to Remain Closed
The Madhya Pradesh government has announced a public holiday on June 7, 2025, due to Eid-ul-Adha. On this day, colleges, banks, and all government offices in the state will remain closed.
As June approaches, employees planning trips or activities should note this important public holiday on June 7. Additionally, banks across India will observe several holidays in June:

June 8 (Sunday): Weekly holiday, banks closed nationwide

June 11 (Wednesday): Sant Guru Kabir Jayanti / Saga Dawa, banks closed in Sikkim and Himachal Pradesh

Furthermore, the Madhya Pradesh government has declared 68 optional holidays for 2025. Government employees may avail themselves of up to three days off from these optional holidays according to their preference, but no more than three days will be granted.
