Emirates ID replacement fee in Dubai after loss – June 2025
Emirates ID replacement fee updated for Pakistani and other residents
If you are living in the UAE and lose your Emirates ID card, you must apply for a replacement immediately. This rule applies to all UAE nationals, GCC citizens, and expatriate residents. Not having your Emirates ID can cause serious problems.
The Emirates ID is issued by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP). It is a legal requirement for every citizen and resident in the UAE to carry this card at all times.
This card is used for many important things like accessing government services, voting in Federal National Council elections, and even for travel within GCC countries for UAE citizens. At UAE airports, you can also use the Emirates ID at smart gates for quicker immigration checks.
How to Apply for a Replacement
If you lose your Emirates ID, you can apply for a new one in two ways:
Visit the official ICP website.
Go to an approved typing centre.
Sometimes, you may also need to visit an ICP service centre to give your fingerprint or other biometric details again.
Emirates ID Card Replacement Fees
To get a new Emirates ID after losing it, you must pay AED 300 as a replacement fee.
If you apply through a typing centre, there is an extra AED 70 fee.
If you apply online using the ICP eForm, the fee is AED 40.
It’s important to act fast if your Emirates ID is lost. Keep it safe, and always carry it with you, as it is your main ID in the UAE.
