Iran Appoints New Heads of Armed Forces, Revolutionary Guards

Iran has announced the new heads of its armed forces and the Revolutionary Guards.

According to Iranian media, the Supreme Leader of Iran has temporarily appointed General Habibollah Sayari as the new commander of the Iranian Armed Forces.

The report also states that, by the Supreme Leader’s order, General Ahmad Vahidi has been appointed as the new Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

It is worth noting that the current Chief of the Armed Forces, General Bagheri, and the head of the Revolutionary Guards, Major General Hossein Salami, were killed this morning in an Israeli attack.
