Iran Reserves Full Right to Defend Itself: Araghchi

Iran Right to Defend Itself
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, in a meeting with foreign ambassadors in Tehran, said that Iran has no intention of expanding the conflict with Israel to other countries but will continue to defend itself fully against Israeli aggression.
“We do not want the Iran-Israel conflict to spread to other nations,” said Araghchi. “But we firmly reserve the right to self-defense in response to Israeli attacks.”
The Iranian foreign minister explained that Iran had been focused on diplomacy and peaceful engagement regarding its nuclear program, but the recent Israeli aggression disrupted those efforts.
“Our efforts were diplomatic and aimed at peace, but this aggression was forced upon us,” Araghchi said.
He further stated that Iran’s response was both lawful and legitimate, adding, “We are only defending ourselves, and our actions are both justified and strong.”
The remarks come amid growing international concern over the escalating military conflict between Iran and Israel.
