New Intelligence Chief Announced for Iran’s Revolutionary Guard
Following the martyrdom of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ (IRGC) Intelligence Chief General Mohammad Kazemi in an Israeli attack, General Majid Khadami has been appointed as the new intelligence chief.
According to Iranian media, General Khadami previously served as the head of the Intelligence Protection Organization within the Ministry of Defense and possesses extensive experience in sensitive security matters.
According to the IRGC, the Israeli strike carried out on Sunday resulted in the martyrdom of Intelligence Chief General Mohammad Kazemi, his deputy General Hassan Mohaqqeq, and another senior officer General Mohsen Baqeri.
Analysts have stated that the appointment of General Majid Khadami is part of Iran’s efforts to swiftly restore its intelligence network and effectively respond to Israeli threats.
The Iranian government has asserted that it is fully prepared to respond to any aggression by the enemy, and the high-level changes in intelligence and defense leadership reflect this determination.
