Iran shoots down Israeli Drone Khorramabad; releases video evidence

Iran shoots down Israeli Drone Khorramabad
Tensions in the Middle East escalated further as Iran claimed to have shot down an Israeli drone in the Khorramabad region. Iranian state media released footage of the destroyed drone, intensifying fears of a widening conflict.
According to international reports, Israel conducted fresh airstrikes targeting Iranian military installations in Tehran and western Iran. Fighter jets of the Israeli Air Force reportedly hit strategic sites, though no official casualty figures have been released.
In a significant development, the United States supported Israel by launching airstrikes on Iran’s key nuclear facilities, including Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz, using advanced B-2 bombers. Iranian officials, however, assured that the nuclear assets remained secure despite the strikes.
As the conflict deepens, global crude oil prices have surged, causing alarm in global financial markets. Analysts warn that the price of oil could soon reach $100 per barrel, a development with severe implications for Pakistan’s economy.
An expert report highlights the risks:
If oil hits $75 per barrel, Pakistan’s current account deficit could rise to $2.3 billion.
At $80 per barrel, the deficit could widen by another $2 billion.
Surging oil prices are expected to raise inflation and worsen the cost of living in Pakistan.
This latest round of military action comes amid an already volatile situation in the region, where the Iran–Israel–U.S. confrontation is threatening global energy stability. Economists fear that Pakistan, being heavily reliant on energy imports, could be among the worst-hit countries if the conflict continues.
