Iran Open to Resuming Nuclear Talks if US Shows Sincere Intentions, Says Iranian FM
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has indicated that Iran is open to resuming nuclear talks, but emphasized that this would require genuine commitment from the United States.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s foreign ministers’ meeting, Araghchi reiterated that Iran’s nuclear program remains entirely peaceful. He stressed that the ongoing nuclear dispute must be resolved in a manner that serves the interests of both parties.
Calling the 2015 nuclear agreement a “diplomatic success,” Araghchi underscored that a balanced and lasting solution can only be achieved through serious negotiations.
Addressing regional tensions, Araghchi accused Israel of unjustifiably waging war against Iran. He stated that while Iran does not seek to escalate the conflict, any future acts of aggression would be met with a firm response.
