Israel’s Intense Shelling, Tank Attack in Gaza Causes Heavy Civilian Casualties

Israel launched a tank attack on Deir al-Balah for the first time since the war.

According to the news agency, shelling on Deir al-Balah and other areas has claimed the lives of 60 Palestinians. Deir al-Balah is densely populated with Palestinian refugees.

Shelling in Deir al-Balah targeted homes and mosques, and two United Nations guest houses in Deir al-Balah were also shelled.

In Khan Yunis, shelling on a tent killed a husband, wife, and their two children. Within 24 hours, 130 Palestinians were killed and more than 100 were injured.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, there is a fear of large-scale deaths from hunger in the coming days. Since Saturday, 19 people have died of hunger in Gaza.
